Ebay would hold a lot of different types of data about the customers. Examples would be payment information, contact information like email and phone number and their address. The online retailer/company basically holds all the sensitive data from a customer. With this data, the company must follow strict acts and laws. An example would be the data protection act 1998. This act tells how a company/retailor can use/control sensitive data. Ebay has a strict data protection policy.
