Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) 


A relational database management system is used for managing relational databases. It can also be used to create and update relational databases. The RDBMS is the most popular database system among the organisations of the world. The RDBMS communicates, basically means talks, with the database to create, delete or update things. 

 

Examples of RDBMS consist of: 


  • MySQL – This is used by Pinterest, Netflix and Amazon 

 

  • PostgreSQL – Instagram, Reddit and Shopify 

 

  • Oracle DB – LinkedIn, Zoom and Airbnb
